Join the KOI Student Engagement Office and KOISS Hiking Club for a coastal adventure through Royal National Park, from Otford to the famous Figure 8 Pools.
What to Expect
Enjoy coastal views, forest trails and spectacular scenery while exploring Royal National Park and connecting with the KOI community. The walk includes steep sections, stairs, rocks, mud and potentially slippery surfaces.
What to Bring
- Good-grip walking shoes
- At least 2L of water
- Packed lunch and snacks
- Hat and sunscreen
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Fully charged phone and portable charger
- Personal medication, if required
- Opal card or contactless payment

Figure 8 Pools is located on an exposed coastal rock platform. Access is not guaranteed and depends on tides, waves, weather and track conditions. The route may be changed or access restricted if conditions are unsafe. Participants must remain with the group and follow organiser instructions.
