[T126: Week 5] NSW Wine Cellar Door

Want to explore Sydney this weekend without blowing your budget?

This free, open-air wine tasting is the perfect excuse to get out with friends. Moreover, it puts you in one of Sydney’s most iconic precincts no formal plans required.

About the Event

The NSW Wine Cellar Door runs alongside The Rocks Markets, one of Sydney’s longest-running weekend markets. First established in 1971, The Rocks Markets operate in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This season, six NSW wineries participate, drawing from regions including the Hunter Valley, Orange, and Mudgee. Consequently, you can explore a broad range of styles in a single afternoon.

Getting There

The venue is The Rocks Square, Dawes Point Park a short walk from Circular Quay station. Entry is free. Additionally, tastings start at just $5 for three pours per winery, and wines by the glass are available from $10.

What to Expect

What to expect

  • Free entry, no tickets: Walk in any time between 10am and 5pm on either day.
  • Six NSW wineries pour across multiple regions in one relaxed outdoor session.
  • $5 tasting paddle per winery one of the most affordable wine experiences in the CBD.
  • Market stalls alongside the cellar door offer food, fashion, and artisan products.

This is a drop-in event. However, individual winery stalls get busy during peak hours. Check the official link for producer details before you go.
