About this event

Our first-ever KOI Cultural Awareness Fair – Flea Market is just around the corner, and we’re so excited to see your passion and creativity shine!

Purpose of the Event:
The KOI Cultural Awareness Fair – Flea Market celebrates our multicultural community by encouraging students and alumni to showcase, sell, or share items and services that represent their culture, talents, and passions.

It’s not just a fun market — it’s also a real-world opportunity for you to experience business in action: from setting up your stall, attracting customers, offering services, to earning your own profits!

Here are answers to some of the common questions we’ve received:

1. Q: Can I sell my personal items at the KOI Flea Market?
A: Yes, absolutely! You can sell your personal, second-hand, or handmade items — and all the profits are yours to keep!

2. Q: Can I run a nail painting or neon painting stall?
A: Yes! We warmly welcome all kinds of creative and cultural stalls — whether it’s painting, crafts, games, or services. (Please note alcohol-related stalls are not permitted.)

3. Q: For the Cultural Awareness Fair, can I only sell items related to my own culture?
A: While we encourage you to introduce and share your own culture with the KOI community, you are welcome to sell any items you have — there is no restriction that it must be culture-related.

4. Q: How do I register my stall?
A: Please register officially using the link on the right side of this post!

5. Q: What is the KOI Stall Sponsorship?
A:  The KOI Student Engagement Office will review your stall idea (business plan) and sponsor you with $30–$50 to help you set up your stall!

You can use this support for:

What to expect

  • Stall decorations
  • Purchasing materials or giveaways

Register your stall before 10 May 2025 to secure your spot and start your first business tasting experience!

Special Note for IT Students:

Are you good at poster design, website building, logo creation, or other digital services? You are encouraged to sell your skills too! Create a service list, pitch your ideas, and make your first peer-to-peer sale at the Flea Market. It’s a great opportunity to test your business ideas and showcase your talents!

Let’s make this event colourful, creative, and inspiring together.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing stalls and services you will bring to life!
